Divine Invention — how to play
You are a prophet. Your one goal: spread your faith across the world. How you do it flows from your faith's character.
- Wander the map, then settle and found a religion (draft its tenets — they shape its character).
- Spread each turn: preach, or send missionaries into neighbouring regions (your faith also drifts outward on its own).
- Spend governing actions to develop regions (science→eras), sway people, suppress rivals, close borders, or trade.
- Diplomacy: exchange gifts, form pacts, denounce — or, against an enemy, declare a holy war and assault their regions.
- Watch the world advance through eras: progress brings power but secularizes orthodox faiths. Adapt via Reformation.
- Win by 75% of world population, holding every region, or the top score at the turn limit.
Tip: the Threats & Opportunities panel flags what you can do right now. Pass the device between turns.
